The Environmental Protection Agency is keen to promote the wider use of sustainable drainage systems, which reduce the impact of surface-water runoff.
At GEOSystems we have a head start in providing such solutions because, as our name suggests, this has been part of our corporate vision right from the word go.
Specifying GEOSystems products is proven to reduce the carbon footprint of projects and our GEOSystems storm water attenuation systems can also help to minimise hydrocarbon pollution from runoff in areas such as car parks.
There are two main ways of storing surface water for storm water management:
- Storm water attenuation systems consists of underground water storage facilities that hold excess water during periods of peak rainfall. The stored water is gradually released into the surface-water drainage system or directly into watercourses, reducing the risk of upstream and downstream flooding.
- Soakaway infiltration systems are designed to store surface-water run-off until it can be gradually absorbed by the surrounding ground.
Our specialist drainage skills are available to you, whatever your requirements. From green roofs to grey water management, linear drainage to permeable paving, our team of highly experienced designers and installers will work with you to develop the best solution.
